‘Justice League’ Star J.K. Simmons Hopes To Return For A Future Batman Film

Justice League star J.K. Simmons recently revealed that he signed up to play Commisioner Gordon for at least three movies and hopes to return as the iconic Batman character in the future.

J.K. Simmons is one of Hollywood’s most beloved and talented actors thanks to his roles in films like June and Whiplash, as well as Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. His casting as Commissioner Gordon for Justice League was something that was received positively by many that hope the incredible actor returns down the road for a Batman film, and it appears that he’s down to reprise the role in the future. Simmons was recently asked by Entertainment Tonight about his role as Commissioner Gordon in Justice League and the character’s status due the changes to The Batman, with Warner Bros. recasting Ben Affleck with a younger Caped Crusader. This is what J.K. Simmons had to say:

“I wish I could have something to offer, but actually if I did know more I don’t think… they’d probably shoot me if I told you”

J.K. Simmons then continued by revealing that he signed up to play the character in at least three movies.

“I know nothing, I know that I signed up to do three movies and I hope there are going to be two more. It has been in and around and through, whether it be Batman or Justice League or another Suicide Squad, or where Commissioner Gordon might end up appearing again, I’m open to it. I’m not sitting at home waiting for the phone to ring in the meantime, but I hope there’s more of that in the future”

J.K. Simmons is probably feeling the same way as many fans who hope that the he returns for a Batman film in the future. Though his appearance was minor in Justice League, Simmons looked absolutely incredible as Gordon and it was a sight to see him interact with Ben Affleck’s Batman. What do you think of J.K.
