‘Justice League’ Cinematographer Inspired By ‘Batman v Superman’

Justice League cinematographer Fabian Wagner recently shared a new image of Wonder Woman to his Instagram and credited his influence to have been taken from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice cinematographer, Larry Fong.

“Last year I was fortunate enough to work with Zack Snyder on his new movie ‘Justice League’. I had always been a fan of his work and of his long time cinematographer Larry Fong. I tried to put my own stamp onto it but Larry’s dark and beautiful lighting was a huge source of inspiration. I had the best time working with all of those guys.”

Wagner took some of the darker elements from Batman v Superman and seemed to have used them in Justice League, if his post is any indication. The cinematographer has also worked on episodes of Game of Thrones. It’s nice that he got to work with people he clearly admires. We’ll get to see his finished work when Justice League comes out later this year.

It’s also worth noting that every time we’ve seen one of the members of the Justice League (much like the Wonder Woman image above), they’ve been surrounded by tones of gray and other darker hues. Plus, they always look ready for battle.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder. The film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ciarán Hinds, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons.

It will hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
