‘Justice League’ Actor On Deleted Darkseid Fight From Zack Snyder Cut

As time goes on, more and more pieces of the mythical Zack Snyder Cut of Justice League keep coming out, and today we got another huge piece from the director’s original vision, involving Darkseid.

In a comment on Instagram, Ares actor Nick McKinless reveals that there was apparently an entire fight sequence between Ares and a younger Darkseid when he first invaded Earth. The actor says he trained for four months to get in God of War shape for the now uncredited role. McKinless goes on to compliment working with Zack Snyder on Justice League.

The actor declined going into more details of what the Darkseid sequence entailed, saying he’d like “the best possible platform” to go more in depth. McKinless even recommended making a fan film focusing on the behind-the-scenes controversy of how Zack Snyder’s original version Justice League was turned into the mediocre version that we ended up getting.

This news is just the latest on Zack Snyder’s original cut of Justice League, which was set to introduce Darkseid. Zack Snyder’s original 5 movie-arc for the DC Extended Universe was said to include scenes of Young Darkseid vs Ares and the other Greek Gods in the first invasion of Earth, the murder of Lois Lane and half the Justice League, and Darkseid taking control of the heartbroken Superman with the Anti-Life Equation.

What are your thoughts on Zack Snyder’s original vision for Justice League? Do you want the Snyder Cut to be released? Let us know in the comments down below!

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
