That is exactly what digital artist jscomicart has pulled off in a recent Superman mashup. Most of the image is that of Henry Cavill as Superman from such films as Justice League. The other ten percent is comprised of the classic hairdo from Christopher Reeve’s time as the Big Blue Boyscout. Of course, this includes the iconic twist dangling perfectly over his forehead.
The brilliance of the piece, however, is not just in bringing the two aspects of two very different Superman iterations together, as much as it is the actual execution of the Photoshopping. The hair is so flawlessly sat upon his head, it looks as if Henry Cavill that is how it should have been all along. Just imagining this look on Henry Cavill as Superman in Justice League makes my heart happy. I always felt that film was missing something and now, thanks to this image, I finally know what it is.
Alright, enough of my rambling. Check out the art for yourself:
What do you make of this Superman fan photo? Are you as big a fan of the Christopher Reeve locks on top of the perfectly chiseled structure of Henry Cavill as much as I am? Hit us up in the comments below and tell us what you think!
