‘Justice League: Mortal’ Team Image Reveals George Miller’s Vision

A Justice League: Mortal photo reveals George Miller’s vision for the abandoned DC film.

Long before the DC Extended Universe was launched with Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, Warner Bros. developed a Justice League film that Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller was set to helm. Unfortunately, a combination of events, including the 2008 writer’s strike and subsequent production delays, prompted Warner Bros. to move forward in a different direction with their DC properties and the project was ultimately canceled. Now, a never-before-seen photo offers fans a hint at what George Miller envisioned for the Justice League, including a glimpse at the design for Armie Hammer’s Batman costume and D. J. Cotrona’s Superman suit.

Of course, everyone knows George Miller’s vision never came to light and Warner Bros. released a Justice League film by Zack Snyder almost a full decade later.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
