New Look At Armie Hammer’s Batman Suit For ‘Justice League: Mortal’

Another image from Justice League: Mortal has surfaced online, giving fans a brand new look at Armie Hammer’s unused Batman suit.

Long before Ben Affleck was cast as Batman in the DC Extended Universe, Armie Hammer was set to play the iconic DC Comics character in a Justice League movie directed by Mad Max: Fury Road helmer George Miller. Titled Justice League: Mortal, Miller’s take on the superhero team was canceled by Warner Bros. right before it was about to begin production.

In addition to Armie Hammer as Batman, Justice League: Mortal would have also featured D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman,  Common as Green Lantern, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, Adam Brody as The Flash, Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter, Jay Baruchel as Maxwell Lord and Teresa Palmer as Talia Al Ghul. Late Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin was also on board as Wally West.

Justice League: Mortal never saw the light of day, but fans can check out Armie Hammer’s Batsuit for the movie thanks to an image that is floating around on Instagram. The image shows off the actor’s full costume and also includes a close look at his cowl. You can check out the Justice League: Mortal image featuring Armie Hammer’s suit below.

Armie Hammer never got a chance to play Batman, but he has become the fan-favorite to replace Ben Affleck in the DC Extended Universe. The Batman director is said to be looking for a young actor in his late 20s to play the Caped Crusader. Armie Hammer is 32, but he’s the actor most fans want to see as the next Bruce Wayne.

The Batman is one of many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. The list also includes The Suicide SquadThe FlashGreen Lantern CorpsBirds of PreyBlack AdamNightwingSupergirl and New Gods.

Following Aquaman, which is now playing, the DCEU continues with Shazam! on April 5, 2019, followed by Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) on February 7, 2020, and Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020.
