New ‘Justice League’ Images Show Off A Ripped Ben Affleck As Batman

Two newly released behind-the-scenes images from Justice League show off a very ripped Ben Affleck as Batman.

Affleck put on the cape and cowl for the last time in 2017’s Justice League. It had been heavily rumored that the Academy Award winner would be leaving the role after the DC team up rolled out and he recently confirmed the news on Twitter. Fans are sad the actor will no longer play the Caped Crusader and some are taking this as a heavy loss.

A Justice League fan on Reddit revealed a new behind-the-scenes look at Affleck as the Caped Crusader as an appreciation post and he’s pretty ripped. You can check out the post on Reddit below.

Official plot details have yet to be revealed but Matt Reeves’ project has been long rumored to feature a younger Caped Crusader. In addition to The Penguin, a rogues gallery of villains are also rumored to appear. While the film’s inspiration remains unclear, the director himself has confirmed that the film will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic.

The next film about the Caped Crusader is one of the many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC Films, including The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Cyborg, Supergirl, New Gods, and Nightwing.

Following Aquaman, which is now playing, the DCEU continues in April with Shazam! on April 5, 2019, which will be followed by Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) on February 7, 2020, and Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020. A standalone Joker film set outside of the DC Films universe starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theaters October 4, 2019.

Heres the official synopsis for Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Connie Nielsen, Julian Lewis Jones and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, and DVD.
