‘Justice League’: Hilarious DC Fan Art Uses Shazam To Unite The Seven

A new piece of fan art puts Shazam (Zachary Levi) in the line-up of the 2017 DC Extended Universe film Justice League.

When DC fans first got their glimpse at Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, it was in an image featuring the actor alongside the tagline “Unite The Seven”. The marketing campaign was for 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and beyond that Aquaman poster, the “Unite The Seven” tagline was never used again. In fact, 2017’s Justice League only featured six heroes, including Aquaman, Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

This April, Shazam! hits theaters and will introduce the titular hero, played by Zachary Levi, into the DC Extended Universe. Since the “Unite The Seven” idea never truly came to fruition, a very talented DC fan took to Twitter to post this incredibly funny new piece of fan art. In the art, fans can finally get the seven Justice League members they were hoping for thanks to the inclusion of Zachary Levi’s Shazam. Check out the impressive art in the post below.

It was recently revealed that Justice League star Ben Affleck will not be returning as Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, in the DCEU. Thankfully, fans still have plenty of Gotham-centric DCEU films preparing to arrive on the big screen. After Shazam! hits theaters in April, Joker arrives in October to give the Clown Prince of Crime his first solo movie. After that, 2020 brings the highly-anticipated Birds of Prey film to theaters. One year later, fans will finally be able to see two long-awaited DCEU installments, James Gunn’s reboot The Suicide Squad, and Matt Reeves’ untitled Batman film.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Shazam! and the DCEU as soon as more information becomes available. Would you like to see Zachary Levi’s Shazam team-up with the Justice League? Which upcoming DCEU film are you most excited to see? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Djimon Honsou.

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

Shazam! will be released in theaters on April 5, 2019.
