‘Justice League’ Concept Art Reveals A Much Scarier Take On Steppenwolf

Concept art for 2017’s Justice League shows off an alternate design for the film’s main villain, Steppenwolf, played by Game of Thrones alum Ciaran Hinds.

New concept art for Zack Snyder’s Justice League has surfaced online, featuring another look at scenes with Ciaran Hinds’ Steppenwolf and an alternate third act. Justice League was a divisive film when it was released to theaters. The film had a rough production with the change of directors from Zack Snyder to Joss Whedon. Since the release of Justice League, we’ve seen various concept art pieces showing the original plans for the film’s third act. Below you can get a look at an alternate design for Ciaran Hinds’ Steppenwolf and the film’s original third act.

This design for Ciaran Hinds’ Steppenwolf is much scarier than the one seen in the final cut of the film. It’s very similar to his look in the “Communion” scene in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. However, Steppenwolf’s look was changed during production. Along with a new look at Ciaran Hinds’ Steppenwolf, fans can also see what appears to be an alternate third act. This third act concept artwork features an alien ship with Parademons controlling it from the inside. With this new look at Ciaran Hinds’ Steppenwolf, fans can only wonder what Zack Snyder’s original vision for Justice League may have looked like.

What do you think of this new look at Ciaran Hinds’ Steppenwolf ? Would you have preferred a different third act for Justice League? Share your thoughts in the comments!

But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
