‘Justice League’: Zack Snyder Cut Campaign Gets Subway To Donate 15k Sandwiches

Fans part of the campaign to get the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League officially released got Subway to donate 15,000 sandwiches for hungry families this holiday season.

On Thursday December 5, Twitter user @RTSnyderCut shared a tweet from Justice League star Ben Affleck in which he expressed his support for the Feeding America organization that helps feed hungry families across the United States. This tweet called on Subway to see how many sandwiches they’d be willing to donate as well as tweeting in support of releasing the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League:

Subway then responded to the challenge from the Zack Snyder Cut campaign earlier today:

Naturally, the Zack Snyder Cut campaign retweeted pretty quickly, easily reaching the 5,000 retweets needed. Interestingly enough, Subway responded in a way that will make some of the hardcore fans really happy:

Subway’s tweet is in reference to the recent revelation that Zack Snyder’s alleged cut of Justice League clocked in at around 214 minutes long. It wasn’t that long after Subway’s announcement to donate 15,000 sandwiches that Zack Snyder himself commended the company (and Ben Affleck) for helping to feed hungry families in the U.S.:

Fans part of the Zack Snyder Cut campaign are certainly eager for Warner Bros. Pictures to release the director’s original version of Justice League. It’s nice to hear that along with their desires for such a cut to be released, fans are using it as an opportunity to help support important causes such as suicide prevention and hunger in the United States.

What do you make of Subway’s move to donate 15,000 sandwiches along with their tweet endorsing the release the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League? Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is available to own on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD.
