Zack Snyder Hints At ‘Justice League’ Sequel Plot

Yesterday, Zack Snyder unveiled a Justice League t-shirt design he contributed to the fan-initiated fundraising t-shirt campaign for Suicide Prevention charity. The design prompted fan Eric M. Blake to outline how it potentially revealed the original story for the Justice League sequel and Zack Snyder may have hinted that this fan’s suppositions are correct on his official Vero account.

Since the theatrical release of Justice League, fans have learned that Zack Snyder originally envisioned a 5-part story for the DC Extended Universe that was intended to include a Justice League sequel before the filmmaker exited the post-production work on the first film following a family tragedy. While details on the original plan for the Justice League sequel are scarce, one fan took to Vero to explain that the aforementioned t-shirt may hint at how it would have involved Lois Lane getting pregnant and Batman sacrificing himself to save her by trading gunfire with Darkseid, leading to Lois & Clark naming their baby son Bruce. Zack Snyder responded to the Vero post with a clapping hands emoji, potentially indicating the theory is correct or that he is at least impressed by the idea.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
