Warner Bros. is currently developing a slew of live-action DCEU projects, with one of them focusing on Batgirl. The character’s first cinematic solo outing has been in development for quite some time now, with Avengers director Joss Whedon originally attached to write, direct and produce the project. Birds of Prey and The Flash scribe Christina Hodson is currently penning the Batgirl movie script with the hunt for a new director underway.
With details on The Batman being kept under lock and key, it’s unclear whether the highly-anticipated Batgirl movie will take place in the DCEU or not. However, one actress who has expressed interest in staring in the Batgirl movie is Avengers star Karen Gillan. A digital artist known as “apexform” on Instagram recently shared a concept design that imagines Gillan as Batgirl for the DCEU, and she looks fantastic.
