Karl Urban Reveals He’ll Work Alongside Cate Blanchett In ‘Thor: Ragnarok’

Despite promoting Star Trek Beyond, Karl Urban who plays Dr. McCoy couldn’t help but talk about his next role in a major movie franchise. Confirmed earlier this year, Karl Urban will play the role of Skurge the Executioner in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnaork. While speaking to Zap2it, Urban revealed that he would be sharing plenty of screen time with, Cate Blanchett who stars as the film’s main villain, Hela.

“I just started shooting Ragnarok on the Gold Coast with Chris Hemsworth, I read a fun, action-packed script and love my character, Skurge. I get to work a lot with Cate Blanchett. She and I were in Lord of the Rings together, but we never actually shared any screentime. I’m looking forward to that; should be a fun experience.”

Urban had also spoke a bit more about his character, Skurge in the new Marvel film.

Thor: Ragnarok is the third instalment of Marvel’s popular Norse Super Hero, is directed by Taika Waititi and will feature Chris Hemsworth in the title role for the fifth time. Thor: Ragnarok also stars Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, and Mark Ruffalo reprising his role of Bruce Banner/The Hulk who was seen in Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Thor: Ragnarok will be released on November 3, 2017.
