The actor reveals how long he's willing to play the action hero.
Keanu Reeves first gained notoriety thanks to his role in the Bill and Ted films but became a household name due to his portrayal of Neo in The Matrix movies. Following the release of The Matrix Revolutions, Keanu Reeves somewhat disappeared from the limelight. That was until the release of the first John Wick film.
The first John Wick film was something of a surprise hit that blew everyone away. Earning over 86M worldwide on a $20M budget, the film was well-received by critics and spawned two sequels that both outgrossed its predecessor with two more on the way. Now Keanu Reeves has revealed just how long he is willing to play the character.
While speaking to Ok Magazine, the actor talked about the role and answered this question in a typical Keanu Reeves fashion:
“As far as my legs can take me. As far as the audience wants to go.”

Here is the official synopsis for the latest film in the franchise, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum:
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.
Directed by Chad Stahelski from a script written by Derek Kolstad, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum stars Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Ian McShane, Ruby Rose, Common, Lance Reddick, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Jason Mantzoukas, Anjelica Huston, and Boban Marjanovic.
The next film in the franchise, John Wick 4, is currently scheduled to be released on May 27, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the future of the John Wick franchise and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
