Kevin Conroy Dons His Batman Costume For Arrowverse Crossover Event In New Fan Art

A new concept design inspired by The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths shows Kevin Conroy suited up as the Arrowverse’s Batman.

It might be some time before fans get to see Robert Pattinson as the next big big version of Bruce Wayne in The Batman, but Kevin Conroy is finally getting his chance to play a live-action Batman thanks to the next Arrowverse crossover event. Kevin Conroy’s Batman voice became synonymous with the character after he portrayed the DC Comics hero in numerous animated television shows and games. It isn’t clear whether fans will actually see Kevin Conroy’s Batman in costume, but it seems obvious that he should appear in the Arrowverse crossover wearing the Batsuit at least once.

A new concept design from digital artist “britedit'” on Instagram reveals what Kevin Conroy’s Batman could look like for the upcoming Arrowverse crossover event. The design takes a major inspiration from his animated roles like The New Adventures of Batman and Justice League Unlimited. The artist uses the solid black Batman symbol rather than the yellow circular design, with the caption saying “I cannot wait for the return of the definitive Batman.” Here’s the artwork of Kevin Conroy’s Batman for the Arrowverse crossover event.

The next Arrowverse crossover event has been teased since the very first episode of The Flash, where a newspaper headline from the year 2024 revealed the Barry Allen’s fate was to disappear during a “crisis.” However, the fifth season finale of the Grant Gustin series accelerated this when the original newspaper headline changed the date of the event from 2024 to 2019. To add to this, the seventh season finale of Stephen Amell’s Arrow set up Oliver Queen’s role in the next crossover by having him join the Monitor on a mission to warn other worlds of the crisis, as part of the arrangement the Emerald Archer made in order to save the lives of both The Flash and Supergirl.

Crisis will span two quarters and consist of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. The Arrowverse crossover will launch with three episodes in December before concluding with two additional episodes in January.
