Marvel Boss Kevin Feige Teases ‘Amazing’ Captain Marvel Sequel Idea

Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige has some kind words to say about the future of Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel franchise.

Captain Marvel hits theaters on Friday and will introduce fans to Carol Danvers, played by 21 Jump Street star Brie Larson. The hero’s arrival was teased during the end credits scene attached to Avengers: Infinity War, foreshadowing her appearance in the highly-anticipated follow-up Avengers: Endgame.

Kevin Feige spoke with ScreenRant about a possible sequel to Captain Marvel after the film debuts later this week. Although he remained tight-lipped on specific story details, the report reveals that Kevin Feige simply said the ideas regarding the future of the Brie Larson-led franchise are “pretty amazing”. The Marvel Studios boss also had this to tell ScreenRant regarding the future of Carol Danvers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“The making of a first film is in some ways a brainstorm on the future and on what can be. So what it will be again is not clear. But what it could be is pretty amazing.”

The third installment of the MCU arriving later this year is Sony’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. The exciting new film will feature the return of Tom Holland as Peter Parker, who was sadly one of Thanos’ victims in the finale of Avengers: Infinity War.

Marvel Studios has yet to release a film this year but the studio is still having a great 2019. During this year’s Academy Awards ceremony, Black Panther won Marvel Studios its first Oscar. It didn’t just win one either, the hit film took home three Oscars for Production Design, Costume Design, and Best Original Score.
