Kevin Feige Confirms Marvel Studios Still Has Plans For ‘Inhumans’

Despite what the rumors might lead you to believe, Marvel Studios still has plans for the upcoming Inhumans. film according to Kevin Feige. While Phase Three has been shifted around quite a bit since it’s initial announcement, when it came to this particular project the film was recently removed entirely from their Phase Three slate.

This has led many to speculate that the project might not see the light of day but the Marvel Studios President once again reiterated that there are still plans for the Royal Family in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While chatting with Empire, Feige had the following to say regarding the project.

The only situation right now is that [Inhumans] is not gonna be a part of phase three because phase three increased in a very good way since we initially announced. When and where and how it pops up remains to be seen but its characters we love, it a storyline we love and we just didn’t want to cram it in to an already quite full phase three.

I’ve heard from personal sources that the Inhumans film didn’t exactly “fit in” with the rest of Phase Three, so nothing that has happened has been truly surprising to me. With plans for the characters still and it sounding like they’ll be a part of Phase Four, perhaps we’ll see a larger outbreak of Inhumans in the MCU similar to what is being done on Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the recent Inhumanity storyline that spread across comics? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
