Disney’s Alan Horn Confirms Kevin Feige Plans To Make 3-4 Marvel Films Per Year

Disney’s Alan Horn confirmed that Kevin Feige plans to increase the number of Marvel films produced each year.

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home brought the first decade of MCU stories to an end, but the Disney franchise is showing no signs of slowing down as Kevin Feige moves forward into the future. In the past, Marvel Studios’ and Kevin Feige generally released one to two films per year, with that number increasing to three starting in 2017.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Disney’s Alan Horn confirmed that Kevin Feige now plans to produce three to four Marvel film each year. However, the Disney executive added that each of these Marvel films will be unique:

“It is long. But Kevin Feige is working away. He will be making three or four a year. And they are very different from one another, so we’ll see.”

Recently, Kevin Feige was named Chief Creative Officer, Marvel. Under his new title, Kevin Feige will oversee television and publishing divisions of the company in addition to continuing his duties at Marvel Studios.

Marvel Studios’ upcoming slate of films includes Black WidowThe EternalsShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten RingsDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder. In addition to the aforementioned feature films, Marvel Studios is developing several shows for Disney Plus, including The Falcon and the Winter SoldierWandaVisionLokiWhat If…?, HawkeyeMs. MarvelMoon Knight, and She-Hulk.
