Kevin Feige Says That Marvel’s Films Will Eventually Reference The TV Shows

One of the complaints that many fans have had about the Marvel Cinematic Universe is when it comes to their films and televisions series. Sure, we know they take place in the same universe and that “it’s all connected” but sometimes it doesn’t feel that way. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Daredevil often refer to the events of the films but we don’t see it happening the other way around. Tonight at an event for the home video release of Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige commented on the situation and it sounds like that might not be the case in the future.

“I think that’s inevitable at some point as we’re plotting the movies going forward and they’re doing the shows.”

Kevin Feige went on to say that the issue so far has been that the schedules for the two “do not always quite match up to make that possible.” He continued on stating:

“It’s easier for them. They’re more nimble and faster and produce things quicker than we do, which is one of the main reasons you see the repercussions of Winter Soldier and Age Of Ultron in the show.

Going forward and certainly as they begin to do more shows and cast them with such great actors as they have — particularly Daredevil — that that may occur. A lot of it is by the time we start doing a movie, they’d be midway through a season; by the time it comes out they’d be done with the second, starting the third season. Finding timing on that is not always easy.”

With a constantly expanding universe on both the small and big screen, it really was only a matter of time before this one had to happen.
