Kevin Feige Explains Stan Lee's Cameo In 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2'. Since the film was seen by critics, no one could stop talking about his cameo.
Spoilers ahead for Stan Lee’s cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.
Up until this point, Stan Lee’s cameos have been one-and-done cases, where each cameo feels isolated in terms of the film. Well, in the latest Guardians adventure, it’s highly implied that all of his cameos are interconnected. This has always been a fan theory for die-hards, but Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige confirmed this when he spoke to Screenrant.
“Yes, we always thought it would be fun. Stan Lee clearly exists, you know, above and apart from the reality of all the films. So the notion that he could be sitting there on a cosmic pit stop during the jump gate sequence in Guardians was something very fun?—?James had that idea and we shot that cameo and loved it so much, you know, you see it a couple of times in the movie. It wasn’t in for a long time and we put it back in towards the end of the process where he references that time he was a Federal Express agent?—?we thought it would be fun to put that in there because that really says, so wait a minute, he’s this same character who’s popped up in all these films.”
We won’t exactly spoil Stan Lee’s cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 because it’s always best to remain unsullied, but hopefully, Feige’s confirmation can tide you over until the film hits cinemas in a few days. And while the hype is building up, go ahead and read our review for the film.
