Kevin Hart Shares First Photo From ‘Jumanji’ Set

In today’s day and age, anything and everything gets a shot at a film adaptation. Whether it be old TV Shows (Power Rangers), various toy lines (The Lego Movie, Transformers), heck, there is an Emoji movie coming out. While the results may vary (The Lego Movie was one of the best of 2014), the quality of these adaptations depends on the same thing all movies need: a good story and a likeable cast. With the upcoming Jumanji sequel, it is yet to be seen if the story will be good, but we do know one thing. The cast is extremely likable. Kevin Hart has taken to instagram to give us our first look at filming for the sequel:

Dwayne Johnson has released the same photo, but his post gives us some character names:

Wow, let’s break it down. After their hit comedy this summer, Central Intelligence, we know that anything Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are involved in is sure to be entertaining. After the announcement a few weeks ago, this picture confirms Karen Gillan (Doctor Who, Guardians of the Galaxy) involvement in the project. Last, but certainly not least, Jack Black is here and it is not certain whether he will be a serious explorer or our typical Jack Black comedic character.

Jumanji is scheduled for release on July 28, 2017, and will be directed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Sex Tape). In addition to those pictured above, Nick Jonas will also have a part in the movie (for better or for worse). Though there may be some trepadation to making a sequel to a film like this, Johnson has been hyping the film, letting us know just how excited he is for the project.

What do you guys think? Does the inclusion of Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart get you excited for a new Jumanji movie? Let us know in the comments below!

A fan of all things film. Josh's biggest fear is how he will explain the prequels to his future children.
