VIDEO: Kevin Smith Explains Every On-Screen Spider-Man On Film & TV

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is in theaters now, and out of all the films based on the webhead released by Sony since 2002, no film has had as much history interwoven into it quite like this one. The fact that the film pays tribute to the many different eras of the character is pretty incredible and only the die-hard fans may be able to take in all the history. One of those fans is Kevin Smith.

Kevin Smith recently saw the film and gave it a glowing review. Knowing his knowledge of comic books, that is certainly some high praise and recently he appeared in a video for WIRED explaining the entire on-screen history of Spider-Man from both television and film.

The most popular Marvel superhero has had a prolific history on both film and TV, which has helped endear the character to generations of fans. Whether your favorite iteration came on the big or small screen, it is always great to remember that there’s a Spider-Man for just about anyone.
