Joining executive producer Andrew Kreisberg in a discussion on how talent from one series often moves on to another, Kevin Smith noted the obvious difference between Arrow and the rest of the Arrowverse.
“Arrow seems of a different feather than Supergirl and The Flash, not the least of which is like, they’ve got superpowers and this guy has just got a bow and arrow.”
Explaining that while the Arrow’s fired by Oliver Queen are created digitally, the effects budget for show is significantly smaller than the budget for The Flash and Supergirl.
“The visual effects budget of Arrow is literally a tenth [of Supergirl and The Flash].”
Kreisberg added that series is also different in that it features more practical action effects.
“It’s a lot of stunt-work. It’s all practical by design.”
