Kit Harington has already dipped his feet into a well-known and critically acclaimed fantasy series with his performance as Jon Snow on HBO’s Game of Thrones, which will air its final season next year. That doesn’t mean that he can’t vie for another. Actors do have to and can be versatile, after all. And perhaps Harington could trade in his sword for a wand in the Harry Potter world.
Harington, currently on the circuit to promote The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly, and it’s here that the Game of Thrones star revealed that he once wanted to have a role in the Harry Potter films:
“I always wanted to be in a Potter movie. I always wanted to be Harry Potter.”
While it’s probably too late for Kit Harington to play the role made famous by Daniel Radcliffe’s performance in the Harry Potter films, the door isn’t exactly closed on the Wizarding World film universe, as you still have the Fantastic Beasts films going strong.
