Well, what do you know! The latest addition in the MonsterVerse, Kong: Skull Island officially has an "awesome" post-credit scene.
Since Marvel Studios launched their Marvel Cinematic Universe with 2008’s Iron Man, the ‘post-credit scene’ has become the landmark of franchise filmmaking. That, and big blue beams in the sky. Of course, Marvel were not the first people to do such a thing, their post-credit scenes have, instantly, become iconic as they help establish future storylines and introduce some bigger characters.
It appears that Kong: Skull Island will join the ranks as the film will feature a “awesome” post-credit scene. Thanks to the Editor-in-Chief of the Splash Report, it appears that we have confirmation on the matter. You can check out his tweet below:
Before Kong and Godzilla go up against each other on May 29, 2020, a Godzilla follow-up, King of the Monsters, will grace the silver screen. Now, the main question is this: Will this stinger set up a future Kong film, or will it tie the gaps between Skull Island and Godzilla Vs. Kong? That remains to be seen, but either scenario would make sense. As ScreenRant points out, it would make a lot of sense for Warners Bros. to produce two movies for either character, before jumping to the big battle between them.
What do you guys think? Are you excited to check out Kong: Skull Island?
