Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah Is Ready To Take On Gal Gadot In ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Fan Art

A new concept design for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 1984 showcases what Kristen Wiig could look like as Cheetah.

Late last year, Warner Bros. released the first official trailer for the Patty Jenkins-directed Wonder Woman 1984 starring Gal Gadot. However, the trailer didn’t footage a lot of footage of Kristen Wiig’s villainous Barbara Ann Minerva, a.k.a. Cheetah. In the comics, Cheetah is one of Wonder Woman’s oldest antagonists. First appearing in Wonder Woman #6, Cheetah has served as Wonder Woman’s arch-nemesis throughout her history in the pages of DC Comics. Her name and origins ultimately changed over the years but Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah is taking its inspiration from the Dr. Barbara Ann Minerva version of the character, who first appeared the Bronze Age.

Given the lack of footage of a transformed version of Cheetah, fans like digital artist “datrinti” are creating artwork that imagines what Kristen Wiig could look like Gal Gadot’s antagonist and the results are interesting, to say the least. You can check out the artist’s take on Cheetah below.

What do you all make of this artwork? Are you looking forward to seeing Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah take on Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince in Wonder Woman 1984? Sound-off in the comments!

Full details on the Wonder Woman 1984 plot are being kept under lock and key, though the film is rumored to follow Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman as she comes into conflict with the Soviet Union in the 1980s and encounters a formidable new adversary named Cheetah, played by Kristen Wiig.

Wonder Woman 1984 is being produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada serve as executive producers.

Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright

Wonder Woman 1984 is set to hit theaters on June 4, 2020. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Gal Gatot’s Wonder Woman, Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah and the future of the DC Extended Universe!
