See Lakeith Stanfield Become The Joker For Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’

Lakeith Stanfield previously expressed interest in bringing The Joker to life.

A new piece of fan art for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman depicts Uncut Gems and Sorry To Bother You star Lakeith Stanfield as The Joker.

After rumors swirled earlier this year that director Matt Reeves is looking to introduce the Joker in a sequel to Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, this concept design transforms Uncut Gems and Sorry To Bother You star Lakeith Stanfield into the next version of the villainous DC Comics icon. Most recently, Jeffrey Wright opened up about the script of the Batman film, explaining that Reeves has taken the character right back to his detective roots for Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne. But if the Joker is on the way, this design for Lakeith Stanfield would be incredibly intimidating.

The fan edit of Lakeith Stanfield as The Joker comes from digital artist ‘ApexForm’ on Instagram and forgoes the typical bleached skin origin and has a similar look to Joaquin Phoenix’s take on the character. He’s still got the green hair, but the one stunning detail comes from the typical red smile. Although on the topic of other Batman villains, a DC Comics artist recently pointed out a surprising detail about The Riddler’s creepy new look in the first trailer for the Pattinson film. The concept throws out the clown style mouth design in favor of a bloody smear that stretches up the Stanfield’s cheek. Since The Batman feels reminiscent of David Fincher’s Seven and Zodiac, this intense look for the Joker would fit right in. You can see Lakeith Stanfield as The Joker below.

What do you think of the design for Lakeith Stanfield as The Joker? Do you think Robert Pattinson should go up against the villain in a sequel to The Batman? Let us know in the comments section!

Plot details for The Batman are being kept under wraps, but we know that the project will revolve around Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment to a new Batman trilogy with Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding Lakeith Stanfield Robert Pattinson’s The Batman universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content.
