Lauren Cohan has portrayed the character of Maggie Rhee since the second season of The Walking Dead and has become a fan favorite ever since. Lauren Cohan’s character has gone through some changes that have formed her character into more of a leader which now leads the group at the Hilltop.
Lauren Cohan is taking a break from “walkers” as she is set to star in ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier. While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Lauren Cohan spoke more about her role as the famous The Walking Dead leader letting fans know that she is not yet done with her character. You can view her response about her return to The Walking Dead below.
“We’ll see what happens.”
Lauren Cohan then went into more detail about her return to the series.
“There is definitely a lot of exciting ways [for it to happen]. And the universe, I’m still very much a part of it. And it’s not over. So, for me, that’s exciting. And I get so excited because we talk about different possibilities.”
So there we have it, Lauren Cohan said Maggie is still a big part of The Walking Dead and there may be many ways for the character to re-appear in the future. This sounds much similar to Andrew Lincoln’s departure from the television show as he too recently exited The Walking Dead, but not entirely. Andrew Lincoln will be returning to The Walking Dead through a set of films AMC is planning to release based on the television show.
