‘The Legend Of Zelda’ Spinoff Announced For Nintendo Switch

The next generation of The Legend of Zelda has been announced to be featured in Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer thanks to Nintendo’s new partnership.

Last Wednesday, Nintendo held it’s yearly Spring showcase dubbed the Nindies where it announced new indie video games that will be coming to it’s Nintendo Switch later this year.

Nintendo revealed the return of Cuphead, Stranger Things 3: The Game, and capped the event off with the big finale, the announcement of Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer Featuring the Legend of Zelda.

Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer is a new game based off of the historic Legend of Zelda game as well as the dungeon explorer Crypt of the Necrodancer.

The game is set to release some time in the spring for North America and features two well known playable characters in Link and Zelda from the Legend of Zelda franchise.

Nintendo hopes that this partnership with indie developers will spark a trend of companies making partnership deals with other indie studios in hopes to rejuvenate the franchise.

What do you think of Nintendo’s new partnership? Are you excited to see the Legend of Zelda franchise make its return in Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
