The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow has added a new cast member. Mitchell Kummen (Horns) will be playing a younger version of Mick Rory/Heat Wave, played by Dominic Purcell.
Fans will be able to see Kummen during the April 21st episode, titled “Last Refuge.” This portion of Legends will be directed by Rachel Talalay and written by Chris Fedak and Matthew Maala. Legends has explored the back story between Heat Wave and Captain Cold, could this eposide possibly go into more detail about how the two criminals became partners and friends?
Legends of Tomorrow has been renewed for a second season on The CW. The network also renewed The Flash and Arrow, other DC Comic shows that are featured.
The CW’s president Mark Pedowitz said this in a statement about all the renewals for the network.
“The CW has become home to some of the most critically-acclaimed shows on broadcast television, with a wide array of fantastic scripted series across the week, ranging from musical comedy, to superhero action, to gritty sci-fi dramas. As we continue to further our strategy of more year-round original programming, picking up these 11 series for the 2016-2017 season puts us in a great position of having proven, high-quality shows to launch in the fall as well as midseason and summer of 2017.”
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs on Thursday nights, all at 8/7c on The CW.
