‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Star Brandon Routh Previews A New Reality Called Doomsworld

Legends of Tomorrow fans who read the official synopsis for the upcoming episode titled “Doomsworld”, named after a new reality created by the Legion of Doom, may have had a few questions about the new world and it’s impact on the titular team of heroes. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, series star Brandon Routh shared a few details about the new reality and the drastic changes it will bring for the team.

Routh explained how the new world will impact the team and previewed Ray Palmer’s new situation.

“For the Legends, it’s very different. None of us have our abilities and powers. Ray is a janitor for S.T.A.R. Labs, and the world is being run by insane crazy people. So, yeah, it’s a bit of the worst nightmare.”

This news suggests that the Legion will succeed in their mission to obtain the Spear of Destiny, but how long their new reality will last or what changes will be irreversible may still be an open question.

Legends of Tomorrow continues next week with the episode titled “Moonshot“.

“Moonshot” – (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM – When the Legends track Commander Steel (guest star Matthew MacCaull) to NASA Headquarters in 1970, they learn where Nate’s (Nick Zano) grandfather hid the last fragment of the Spear of Destiny. The team notices a time aberration during the Apollo 13 mission and believes that the Legion of Doom might be involved. As the Legends journey into space to intercept Apollo 13, the Waverider suffers massive internal damage and Ray’s (Brandon Routh) life is left in jeopardy when he is stranded on the moon. Meanwhile, tension grows between Rip (Arthur Darvill) and Sara (Caity Lotz) as to who is the leader of the team. Victor Garber, Franz Drameh, Maisie Richarson-Sellers and Dominic Purcell also star. Kevin Mock directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree (#214). Original airdate 3/14/2017.”

Legends of Tomorrow airs on Tuesday at 9:00 pm ET on The CW. Be sure to check back with Heroic Hollywood after each episode weekly reviews!
