A new LEGO Marvel game will be released soon, and this time, time will be a key factor as characters from different multiverses and time periods appear.
Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment, owner of DC Comics, will continue to have fun with their little corner of the Marvel Universe – the LEGO game adaptations. It’s just been confirmed that the third LEGO Marvel title will serve as a sequel to the first and will feature characters and locations from across Marvel’s Multiverse.
Polygon reports that the newest LEGO Marvel game will focus on alternate realities and time periods will collide as a result of the nefarious plans of Kang the Conquerer. Set in the city of Chronopolis, a time-based pocket dimension that leads to other time periods and universes, a band of heroes across time and space must band together in order to stop the supervillain’s latest nefarious plot. Players will be able to utilize time as a gameplay mechanic in some way which will be revealed later, presumably once the trailer for the game drops on Tuesday of next week. Speaking of which, here’s a teaser with LEGO Baby Groot:
The game will also have a 4-player mode that can work competitively or cooperatively. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 will be available on November 14 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. The game will also be released for the Nintendo Switch, but no specific release date has been given beyond the note that it will be out before the holidays.
