Sony Pictures has released a new clip from the upcoming science fiction thriller 'Life' featuring a new look at the horrifying alien life form.
Before Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant hits theaters this summer, audiences will be introduced to a new horrifying alien species in the film Life. The first trailer for the film offered only a glimpse of this new alien organism and now Sony Pictures has released an extended sneak peak that gives audiences a better look at this new extraterrestrial terror.
The extended sneak peak features a scene where Hugh Derry, played by Ariyon Bakare, examines the life form only for the organism to retaliate by firmly grasping his hand. The rest of the crew debates over whether or not they should enter the room to assist him while the species’ grip grows and begins to crush Hugh’s hand.

Audiences may continue to find it difficult to distinguish between the Alien films and this one, but the music and atmosphere of this sneak peak certainly make for an intense and intriguing sequence.
Life tells the story of the six-member crew of the International Space Station that is on the cutting edge of one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As the crew begins to conduct research, their methods end up having unintended consequences and the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected.
Directed by Daniel Espinosa, the film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, Ryan Reynolds, Hiroyuki Sanada, Ariyon Bakare and Olga Dihovichnaya.
Life will be released in theaters on March 24, 2017.
