'Logan' star Hugh Jackman says thank you to fans in a heartfelt video tribute posted to his Instagram. The film is now in theaters.
Hugh Jackman says thank you to fans for the last seventeen years in a video post to his Instagram. After six X-Men films and three Wolverine movies, the Australian actor says goodbye to the character.
The video pays tribute to Wolverine through the use of different posters and gorgeous art that is inspired by the film. They include the various characters like X-23, Professor Charles Xavier, and Boyd Holbrook’s Donald Pierce.
“Thank you to all the fans for 17 awesome years!” Jackman’s video states.

Over the weekend, Logan raked in an amazing $85 million at the box office and has received critical acclaim from film writers and fans alike. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to such an iconic character, but Jackman’s tribute is moving and fitting to close the weekend of the film’s opening.
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
Directed by James Mangold, Logan also stars Sir Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen, Stephen Merchant, Richard E. Grant, Eriq LaSalle, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Boyd Holbrook.
Logan is now in theaters.
