'Logan' director James Mangold expresses his support for 'The Batman' director Matt Reeves in a post on his official Twitter account.
After Ben Affleck dropped out as the director of The Batman, the caped crusaders first solo entry in the DC Extended Universe, fans were initially concerned until War of the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves signed on to helm the project. While the development of the Batman film continues, fans are currently enamored with director James Mangold’s film Logan, the final installment of the Wolverine series. Now, Mangold has expressed his support for Matt Reeves in a post on his official Twitter account.
The post was made in response to a fans question about whether or not Mangold would direct a film adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns, which much like Logan focuses on a older version of the lead hero.

In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young Mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
Directed by James Mangold, Logan stars Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keen, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Doris Morgado, Stephen Merchant, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Patrick Stewart.
