The film will feature a score by Marco Beltrami, who also composed the score for The Wolverine. Today, Mangold shared a video from a scoring session taking place at the Newman Scoring Stage at Fox. Best of all, we get to hear a snippet of the film’s score. For anyone wanting an early taste at what Beltrami has in store for Logan, you can watch the video down below.
Hearing this snippet of Beltrami’s score from this video is interesting – especially after watching the first trailer so many times. This film has already become so tied to Johnny Cash’s cover of Hurt, and hearing this upbeat, yet ominous score without any scene for context leaves me wondering what would be going on when this track is played during the film. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too long to find out.
What do you guys think of this first hint at the score for Logan? Are you a fan of Beltrami’s previous work? Sound off in the comments below, and continue to follow Heroic Hollywood for the latest Logan news.
