Logan, Hugh Jackman’s third and final outing as the clawed mutant Wolverine has officially been certified fresh at 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film has been critically acclaimed as the best Wolverine film in the franchise and one of the best superhero films of all time. It has even been likened to Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight in that the film transcends the superhero genre. The most recent tracking report predicts Logan will gross somewhere between $50 to $60 million opening weekend.
Coming as a surprise, Logan won’t be the only finale for one of the franchise’s main characters. Sir Patrick Stewart recently announced his retirement from the X-Men films after he was incredibly moved when he watched the film and realized there would never be a better send off for Charles Xavier.
