‘Logan’ Utilises R-Rating In New Promo Image

The third film in the Wolverine stand-alone franchise, recently revealed to be simply titled Logan, has been in full flow with marketing material in the past week or so. Along with the title announcement came an official poster, and shortly after that we were treated to a long-awaited promotional image of Sir Patrick Stewart’s Professor X from the film.

With the latest reveal, the film’s official, semi-mysteriously titled Instagram (@wponx) account has posted a rather gory promo image for the film featuring a severed arm clutching a shotgun, displaying exactly why Logan has been gifted an R-Rating.

With this, I think it’s safe to say between the footprints in the dirt and the to-the-point caption that the person who was previously wielding the shotgun just happened to cross paths with Logan‘s titular character, of course otherwise known to a broader audience as Wolverine.

Although the posters and promo images might do well at getting some fans excited for the film, if they’re still not getting you all too pumped you can read about some of the plot details that we are aware of so far, which might perk up your interest, by clicking here.

James Mangold’s Logan is released March 3, 2017 and is set to see both Hugh Jackman and Sir Patrick Stewart reprise their previous X-Men franchise roles, alongside Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle and Elise Neal.
