Mike Colter Reveals Luke Cage Fate After ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Snap

Actor Mike Colter, famous for his role as Luke Cage in the eponymous Marvel/Netflix series, has spoken about his character’s and the show’s cast fate after Thanos’ snap in Avengers: Infinity War.

Comicbook spoke with Colter at Wizard World in New Orleans and when asked if Luke Cage or anyone of the show’s cast is in Avengers: Endgame he related the Infinity War snap to the series being hacked by Disney and Netflix and sadly declaring they’re not in the movie. This is what he said:

“Am I in Avengers: Endgame? Well, you know what? Based off what happened, I’m already dead, the snap has already happened with Luke Cage. We’re dead, we’re already gone! I hate to break it down, break people’s… but no, no, we’re not.”

After this reveal, Colter actually said that he would be interested in participating in the MCU as Luke Cage as soon as Disney and Marvel Studios decide what will happen with his character:

“You know what? Sure, absolutely, I’d be down for [movies]. Anything is possible. These things are sort of up in the air, at this moment. It’s pretty fresh. We got canceled on October 19th, or something like that I think the date was. So yeah, it’s still pretty fresh. We’ll see. With time, they’ll probably be some more clarity for everybody whether we’re actually gonna be involved in anything else.”

Colter’s remarks actually come as a surprise since top Marvel executives like TV head Jeph Loeb has been adamant to reveal the fate of the TV characters after Thanos’ decimation event. Several people around Marvel Studios have even stated that the only person that probably knows what happens next with the Marvel characters is none other than Kevin Feige, so they’re obviously keeping everything under wraps at least after Avengers: Endgame comes along.

Would you like to see The Defenders debuting in the silver screen? We know we do! Tell us your thoughts below!

Season 2 of Marvel’s The Punisher releases January 18 and Season 3 of Marvel’s Jessica Jones launches later in 2019 on Netflix. Regarding the MCU, Captain Marvel releases March 8, followed by Avengers: Endgame April 26 and Spider-Man: Far From Home July 5, 2019.
