Luke Cage season two to begin filming in June. Mike Colter, who plays the title character, appeared over the weekend at the C2E2 comic con and confirmed that the show would indeed begin shooting in a couple of months.
The information comes from his panel at C2E2 and live-tweeting. You can see the tweet, which comes from MCU Exchange, below.
Currently, there is no set release date for the show’s next season. But while Colter prepares for the second and highly anticipated season of Luke Cage, we’ll next be seeing his character appear in Marvel Netflix’s The Defenders. Other Luke Cage characters who will also be appearing during the heroes’ crossover series is Simone Missick’s Misty Knight and unsurprisingly, Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple.

The Defenders stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Élodie Yung as Elektra Natchios, and Sigourney Weaver as Alexandra.
The show will debut on Netflix on August 18, 2017.
