Last month, the world was shocked with the news that Riverdale star Luke Perry had passed away after suffering a massive stroke. Luke Perry’s run on Riverdale was immortalized this week with Fred Andrews (Perry) appearing on the series for the last time.
However, fans of Luke Perry will be granted the ability to see him on the big screen one more time when he appears in Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood as Scott Lancer. New details about his character have finally been revealed thanks to a recent Entertainment Weekly interview.
Luke Perry’s role in the film pays homage to the CBS Western series Lancer which featured Wayne Maunder who’s character shares a name with Perry’s.
Shannon McIntosh told Entertainment Weekly that playing a part in one of Tarantino’s films was on Luke Perry’s “bucket list”.
“Luke went in and won that part and deserved that part and owned that part, so it’s really special that was a bucket list that he was able to work with Quentin. His performance is amazing and he will be remembered as we release this movie, and his family will celebrate his performance with us.”
David Heyman, who’s also a producer on Tarantino’s ninth, film told EW that Luke Perry’s appearance in this film will be something fans can take great pleasure in.
“Luke brings a very vivid character who is charismatic, and he brings heart to whatever he does. I think that it will be a pleasure for those fans of Luke to see.”
The television and movie fans will miss Luke Perry very much, but he will live on in series like 90210 and Riverdale from now until the end of time.
