Suicide Squad doesn’t hit theaters until next week, but fans have been wondering about whether or not Margot Robbie’s fan favorite Harley Quinn will get her own standalone movie for months now. Back in May, The Hollywood Reporter ran a story revealing that Warner Bros. is developing a Birds of Prey movie of sorts, which will see Robbie reprising the role, but there’s not much that we currently know about the project.
During the Toronto premiere of Suicide Squad, Tribute had to speak with Robbie and ask her about starring in the rumored movie. While the actress said that she’s “not sure” about that, she did talk about what she’d like to see in a Harley Quinn spin-off movie:
“Just more of Harley. I’m so not done playing that character yet and there’s so much more to do with her I think – and as anyone who’s read the comics knows, there’s a million different storylines to explore. There’s just so much you can do in the DC Universe, so I think it would be cool.”
Starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Karen Fukuhara, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne, Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
