Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn Will Have A New Look In ‘The Suicide Squad’

James Gunn has revealed that Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn will be getting a new look in The Suicide Squad.

The next two years of DC films are going to feature a lot of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn with Birds of Prey hitting next year and James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad in 2021. Margot Robbie brought Harley Quinn to life in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, and the Batman character became an instant hit.

So far, we have seen Margot Robbie sport a Harley Quinn look that is very similar to what we’ve seen the New 52. However, the first Suicide Squad film did feature a quick glimpse of Margot Robbie in the classic Harley Quinn costume from Batman: The Animated Series. A fan asked James Gunn on Instagram if we will see Margot Robbie in the same outfit from previous films, in which he replied, “No.”

Do you think The Suicide Squad will go back to the classic look for Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn? Comment below!

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad movie followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The sequel will see the return of four cast members from that film: Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag.

James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is expected to deliver a new take on the titular supervillain team, with Idris Elba playing a new character on the team, David Dastmalchian starring as Polka-Dot Man, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher, and Steve Agee voicing King Shark. Other cast members confirmed for the ensemble picture include John Cena, Storm Reid, Flula Borg, Nathan Fillion, Taika Waititi, Peter Capaldi, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Mayling Ng, Jennifer Holland, Pete Davidson, Juan Diego Botto, Alice Braga, Tinashe Kajese, Julio Ruiz, and Joaquín Cosío.

The Suicide Squad opens in theaters on August 6, 2021.
