Although we’re still a long way from a proper look at Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn), behind the scenes footage is coming in strong. The last few images we got from the film’s set involve Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and Ella Jay Basco’s Cassandra Cain escaping from a huge explosion. Full disclosure ahead: you’re about to see Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn holding a stuffed beaver with a tutu; yes, a beaver with a tutu:
The film will feature the female superhero team as they come together to protect Cassandra Cain after she comes across a diamond which belongs to Gotham crime lord Black Mask. Cassandra Cain is the daughter of David Cain and Lady Shiva, raised to become one of the world’s greatest assassins before meeting Bruce Wayne and taking up the mantle of Batgirl in the comics.
DC Comics’ Birds of Prey are an international crimefighting team featuring heroines such as Oracle (Barbara Gordon), Black Canary (Dinah Laurel Lance) and the Huntress (Helena Bertinelli). The comic book teams current lineup consists of Black Canary, Huntress, and Lady Blackhawk, along with Hawk and Dove.
Directed by Cathy Yan from a script penned by Bumblebee writer Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, Ewan McGregor as Black Mask, and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Ali Wong, Robert Catrini, and Michael Masini have also been cast in undisclosed roles.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director, James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.
