Mark Hamill Reacts To The Teaser For Joaquin Phoenix’s ‘Joker’

Mark Hamill has taken to social media to share his reaction to the teaser for Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker.

Yesterday, Warner Bros. Pictures released the teaser trailer for Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker and one thing everyone could agree on was the film certainly looked like a unique entry in the superhero genre. Now, Mark Hamill has weighed on the trailer for Joker and noted the combined talent of Joaquin Phoenix and writer/director Todd Phillips has him excited to see the Clown Prince of Crime return to the big screen.

Of course, Mark Hamill is known for voicing the Joker on Batman: The Animated Series and subsequent video games featuring the classic DC Comics villain. To date, Mark Hamill’s portrayal of the Joker is regarded by many as the definitive depiction of the Clown Prince of Crime.

Do you share in Mark Hamill’s excitement over seeing Joaquin Phoenix’s take on the classic Batman villain? Let us know below!

“Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

Directed by Todd Phillips from a script he co-wrote with Scott Silver, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.

Joker will be released in theaters on October 4, 2019.
