Mark Hamill Defends His Recent Controversial ‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’ Post

Mark Hamill took to social media to defend his recent Tweet featuring an image from Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker debuted its first trailer earlier this month and it featured Mark Hamill lending his voice for the narration. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back actor Billy Dee Williams was also featured in the trailer, returning as his iconic character Lando Calrissian. The image from the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer was later shared by Mark Hamill on Twitter, but his character Luke Skywalker, Carre Fisher’s Leah, and Harrison Ford’s Han Solo were all added to the moment.

The Tweet, which was posted by Mark Hamill yesterday featured the message “#MissedOppurtunities”. After Star Wars fans expressed their disappointment by the post, feeling as though it’s taking a stab at Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Mark Hamill took to Twitter to explain his reason for posting the image. Check out what Mark Hamill had to say about his Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker post below.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be the first film of the franchise to hit the big screen since last year’s Solo: A Star Wars Story. Unlike Solo, The Rise of Skywalker will bring a close to the new trilogy that began in 2015, as well as to the Skywalker saga that started in 1977’s Star Wars, where Mark Hamill debuted his iconic character Luke Skywalker.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Mark Hamill’s future in the franchise as soon as more information becomes available.
