It’s hard to believe that one year ago, we witnessed the culmination of 22-films with Avengers: Endgame. The film would go onto to become the highest grossing movie of all-time and earn a positive reception from critics and fans alike. Mark Ruffalo has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the first Avengers film after replacing Edward Norton as the Hulk.
Avengers: Endgame was a send-off for many characters, but it’s expected that Mark Ruffalo will return as Bruce Banner for the upcoming She-Hulk series coming to Disney Plus. There’s also speculation that Hulk could appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, but so far nothing has been confirmed at this time. Endgame notably took the Hulk in a bold, new direction by turning him into Smart Hulk. Ruffalo took to social media to celebrate his last appearance as Hulk by sharing a heartfelt message on Twitter:
