Mark Ruffalo Calls Out Chris Evans On Twitter For His Language

Chris Evans really seems to be embracing his role as a man out of time, going so far as to curse out today’s hip, new technology in one of his latest tweets. Still, according to Evans’ Avengers co-star Mark Ruffalo, profanity is not the answer.

Yesterday, Chris Evans sent out a tweet condemning the over-convoluted nature of modern tech:

“Dear All Technology, Remember the 90’s when you just WORKED??? I don’t need a ‘smart’ feature on my TV, thermostat, lights, music, refrigerator, security cameras, and f-ing car. You’re a major pain in all of our asses. You’re not worth it. Signed, Everyone.”

Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr, was quick to respond with his own tweet, tagging Mark Ruffalo and offering the help of “the science bros.” Ruffalo, in turn, told Evans to call or DM them if ever he needed help, but took the opportunity to remind Evans about his vulgar language:

Fans will recall Ruffalo’s reference to the second Avengers film, Avengers: Age of Ultron. Early on in the movie, Captain America (Evans) runs into a shield, upon which he says “s***.” Both Tony Stark and Bruce Banner point out the unnecessarily harsh vocabulary. The trio can be seen together next in Avengers: Endgame.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame is expected to star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Brie Larson, Josh Brolin and Chris Pratt.

“A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”

Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26, 2019.
