Mark Ruffalo Has Had Talks To Appear In ‘She-Hulk’ Series

Mark Ruffalo has revealed that he had talks to appear in the upcoming She-Hulk series on Disney Plus.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to expand on Disney Plus with a bevy of television shows which include She-Hulk, WandaVision, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. With these shows on Disney Plus, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will have another platform to showcase its wide breadth of characters. One of the first characters slated to get their own television show on Disney Plus is She-Hulk.

Ever since She-Hulk was announced, it was expected that Mark Ruffalo would be appearing in the series by virtue of him being, well, The Hulk. It turns out that Mark Ruffalo and Marvel are already a step ahead of us as the Hulk star revealed this weekend at C2E2 that he’s had talks to appear in She-Hulk. LaughingPlace was on hand at the panel to catch Mark Ruffalo drop the She-Hulk tidbit.

It would be quite surprising if Mark Ruffalo wasn’t to appear in the Disney Plus series as one of the focal points of the Disney Plus series is to legitimize the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a cross-platform franchise. Beyond that, the Hulk is integral to the She-Hulk origin story, so Mark Ruffalo would have to be on board to do the origin story justice. There’s still tons of time before the She-Hulk series is set to hit Disney Plus, so hopefully Mark Ruffalo and the Marvel heads can figure out the perfect way to bring him into the television series.

In the comics, She-Hulk is the alter-ego of Jennifer Walters, a private attorney and the cousin of Bruce Banner. After being shot, Jennifer Walters receives a blood transfusion from Bruce that transforms her into the gamma-powered She-Hulk. However, unlike most incarnations of Bruce Banner’s Hulk, Jennifer Walters retains her sharp wit and emotional control in her She-Hulk form, which later becomes permanent.

Marvel Studios’ upcoming slate of films includes Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder. In addition to the aforementioned feature films, Marvel Studios is developing several shows for Disney Plus, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, What If…?, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk.
