Martin Scorsese’s daughter Francesca saw a perfect opportunity to troll the legendary director using Marvel wrapping paper for his Christmas presents.

While the controversy spun out of Martin Scorsese’s Marvel criticisms might have finally died down a little, his daughter Francesca thought it’d be a great idea to troll the director by using Marvel-themed wrapping paper to cover his Christmas presents. Earlier this year, Martin Scorsese’s Marvel criticisms encouraged a number of other filmmakers to offer their opinions on the state of cinema in 2019. The legendary director noted that comic book movies dominated the box office in a way that edged out any opportunities for smaller movies to be successful.

But Martin Scorsese’s daughter saw the funny side of the debate this Christmas as she revealed on Instagram that she was wrapping the director’s presents in Marvel-themed paper. While Martin Scorsese’s Marvel criticisms were divisive among fans, critics and filmmakers, hopefully everyone can see the funny side of the joke his daughter made.
